The Sacred Place 5th Anniversary Celebration is this Sunday, June 9 starting at 10:30 AM. We’ll have cake, share stories, and give thanks for Sacred Place.

On June 9, 2019, we gathered with our core planting team at Jasper Elementary. Our portable church equipment hadn’t arrived yet, so we used the school projector and ordered portable walls for the kids area. With our traveling sound system, four of those big totes from Costco, a couple tables, and some new signage, we embarked on filling a gap in an area with very few affirming churches. It’s been a bumpy ride since we had that whole pandemic interruption. And yet now, we have a space to call home which requires no weekly setup and teardown. We gather and make a difference in the lives of others. This is our Sacred Place.

This is the last week of our school supply & backpack drive. We’ve committed to providing 10 backpacks. Contact Bryan if you’d like to help. We need backpacks, colored pencils, erasers, crayons, markers, glue sticks, scissors, rulers, pencil boxes or pouches, highlighters, pens, pencil sharpeners.

Summer Special Sundays • June 16 @ 11 AM

This summer we’re going to take a few weeks to shake things up with different activities. We’re calling them Sumer Special Sundays. Each one will have a community/fellowship focus to engage in conversation in a small group setting.  First, we’ll take an in-depth look at the story of Ruth. The Pride Month theme of chosen family threads deeply through the story of Ruth and her mother-in-law Naomi.

There will be Sacred Kids programming. This is an in-person only gathering.

June Mission Sunday • June 23 @ 10:30 AM

Join us for our monthly Mission Sunday. The theme for this month is, appropriately, Inclusion. Each month, we set aside time to focus on one of our core values.

Pride Sunday • June 30 @ 11 AM

Join us as we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community as a sacred part of God’s family. In partnership with Pomona Valley Pride. Each year, we set aside the month of June to celebrate those who are often marginalized by the church. We look at the stories from Scripture which focus on the themes of chosen family, inclusion, and love. Wear your pride colors including sequins and bedazzling. Refreshments and conversation will be available at 10:30 AM in-person.

There will be Sacred Kids programming. This is an in-person and online gathering.
