Surely God Is In This Place
Here’s what’s going on today at Sacred Place. This note offers you a glimpse of our shared liturgy, the songs we sing, and the ways we live out our call to justice, inclusion, and family.
This week we continue our Echoes of the Call series with Jacob’s dream at Bethel, where he awakens to declare: “Surely God is in this place—and I did not know it.” Even in moments of exile, fear, or uncertainty, God’s presence breaks through and turns ordinary ground into holy ground.
Join us in person or online at 11 AM.
Here’s how we’ll worship together this week:

At Sacred Place, we know that justice, inclusion, and family aren’t just words—they are the heartbeat of who we are. Our church may be small, but love never is. Small, intentional acts ripple outward to make big changes. Below are some opportunities to connect, serve, and grow.

Rancho Cucamonga Holiday Food Drive
We are proud to support the Rancho Cucamonga Holiday Food Drive, which provides families in need with food during the holidays. Each year Sacred Place donates completed baskets, but last year the need was greater than the city could meet, and some families went without help. This year, we want to do even more. In addition to our own donations, we’re asking you to help spread the word. In the coming weeks, the city will release its donation list—we’ll have flyers available for you to share with friends, neighbors, and coworkers. Whether you give a single item, sponsor a basket, or volunteer a few hours, every contribution is part of God’s justice rolling down like waters. Small, meaningful acts add up, and together we can help our neighbors thrive.
Small Steps, Lasting Change
"For where two or three are gathered in my name, I’m there with them.” (Matthew 18:20, CEB)
“I was hungry and you gave me food to eat… I was sick and you took care of me.” (Matthew 25:35–36, CEB)
These words tell us that no act is too small, no gathering too humble, when it comes to God’s work.
Thank you for being part of this community that resists indifference with love, that replaces exclusion with welcome, and that treats every neighbor as family.
