resurrect•ing spirit & beyond
Happy Monday, Sacred Place Family! There’s a lot going on over the next month as we head into summer. I’m looking forward to shaking things up a little bit and having some fun.
Also, if you want to attend the Southern California Nevada Conference Annual gathering on June 7 & 8, details are available on the conference website. The Early Bird registration discount is available through this Friday.
Here’s what we have planned for the next four Sundays:
This Sunday, May 19 • Pentecost Sunday!

Join us at 10:30 for snacks + chats and then we’ll gather at 11 for our simultaneously live-streamed gathering. This Sunday, we look back to the arrival of the Holy Spirit, fulfilling Jesus’ promise of empowerment. Be sure to wear your red, orange, or gold as we join together in music, word, and reflection. It’s our final Sunday in our 9-month narrative journey through the Scriptures. This June we’ll look at the stories of Inclusion for Pride Month, and then July & August will be focused on Creation Care.
Sunday, May 26 • Mission Sunday Brunch!

This month’s Mission Sunday theme is family. So we’re getting together for brunch at 10:30 AM meeting at Sammy’s Café #2, 9030 Foothill Blvd, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. Please let Bryan know if you plan to attend by May 22, if possible, so that he can give them a headcount.
Sunday, June 2 • Inclusion Sunday

Each year, we set aside the month of June to celebrate those who are often marginalized by the church. We look at the stories from Scripture which focus on the themes of chosen family, inclusion, and more. June 2 is Inclusion Sunday, a celebration across denominations which lets others know of our intentional efforts to include everyone regardless of who they are and who they love. We’ll gather at 11 with our snacks + chats at 10:30.
Sunday, June 9 • Sacred Place 5th Anniversary Celebration

Can you believe it’s been five years since we founded Sacred Place with our first gathering on June 9th at Jasper Elementary?! Join us as we celebrate the roller coaster ride that got us to where we are. It’s been a time of rooting ourselves and growing together as a faith family. There will be cupcakes and more as we give thanks for all that we have become. The party will start at 10:30 with music and fun.
We live stream our gatherings except on Mission Sundays.
Here are the places you can watch and interact:
I hope you have a fantastic week, and I’ll see you on Sunday!
Grace and peace to you,
Pastor Matthew
