Hello Sacred Place!

This Sunday, April 27, we gather for our monthly Mission Sunday—a time set aside each month to reflect on our shared work of Justice, Inclusion, and Family. Mission Sunday isn’t a break from church—it *is* the church, stripped down to its most human and holy: honest conversation, shared stories, and deep listening for how Christ walks among us.

Let It Be Known That Christ Walks With Us
Luke 24:13–35 – “The Road to Emmaus*

Two disciples walk the road in grief, unaware that the Risen Christ walks beside them. In bread and story, their eyes are opened. This Mission Sunday, we remember: Christ meets us in ordinary moments, long before we understand.  Let it be known—God is already with us on the road.

We’ll have coffee and bagels available starting at 10:30 AM. Our time of reflection begins at 11:00 AM Come early for a warm drink and good company before we begin.

Pastor Matthew will be away, and I’ll be leading our Mission Sunday gathering. Instead of a traditional sermon, we’ll create a space for open conversation, reflection, and community connection.

We’ll explore questions like:
- What does it mean to walk with someone through pain or confusion?
- Where do we meet Christ in the “in-between” spaces of our lives?
- How do we become a community that practices love that doesn’t flinch?

Come as you are, and feel free  to share your thoughts or simply listen. There’s no pressure—just presence.

Let’s walk the road to Emmaus together.

If you have any questions, please email me (bryan@yoursacredplace.org) or text the church number, (909) 506-2400.

Much love to you all. See you Sunday.
