Looking For Sacred Places
This was the scene outside the Mission Center last weekend! Sunday as we waited for the tent to come down, a group of us gathered for Family Brunch at Sammy’s Cafe in Rancho Cucamonga. Thank you to everyone who had breakfast with us. It was fun!
June is tomorrow! Happy June everyone. Summer planning is still happening but there are a few things that are already on the calendar.

Pride Month!

Haven Fellowship in Monrovia, and Claremont Presbyterian Church are coming together to host a family friendly Pride event. It’s going to be fun, and it’s a great way for us to get to know some of our neighbors in the wider community! No registration is necessary. Scan the QR code to register. pastor Vicki said they want to make sure there’s enough BBQ!
Backpacks for Rancho Cucamonga Students
Rancho Cucamonga Community Services Is doing a backpack drive. They are collecting school supplies throughout the month of May for distribution in July.
Current needs include:
- 50 Backpack(s)
- 50 pack(s) of colored pencils
- 100 erasers
- 50 boxes of crayons
- 50 boxes of markers
- 100 glue sticks
- 50 scissors
- 50 rulers
- 50 pencil boxes or pencil pouches
- 100 highlighters
- 100 pens
- 50 sharpeners
Sacred Place has committed to providing 10 completed backpacks as well as helping to fill any gaps in donated items before the event. We will be collecting items this Sunday as well as throughout the week. Donations will tentatively be delivered on Friday, June 7.
Pomona Valley Pride
PVP is working on several things for the month of June! Click the link and check out their social media for more info.
Over the last year, we have really had a chance to get to know some of their members and work with their PRISM community to build relationships that exist inside and outside of the church. They are doing great work, and always looking for new ways to engage with the community. If you haven’t had a chance to stop by and see them, I highly encourage it.
