Letting Justice Roll
Greetings Sacred Place Family,
This Sunday, we stand beside the prophet Amos and listen for the roar of God—a voice that cuts through comfort and calls us back to what matters. It’s a fierce sound, but it’s also a sound of love: a God who longs for justice to roll down like water, for mercy to flow freely, for worship to be more than words.
I’m grateful for a community that takes that call seriously—not perfectly, but earnestly. Every time you show up, every time you offer your gifts, your compassion, your presence—you’re helping turn that roar into a living stream.
As we move toward Thanksgiving and the close of Echoes of the Call, I hope you’ll take a moment to breathe, to give thanks, and to stay connected. You can check in, give, or RSVP for the Thanksgiving Meal at yoursp.xyz/tag.
See you Sunday—online or in person—as we let our worship become justice in motion.
With gratitude,
Pastor Matthew

RSVP for the Thanksgiving Luncheon!
As we gather around the table to share gratitude and good food, we remember the promise Isaiah spoke long ago: “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.”
That light doesn’t dazzle or demand attention—it comes quietly, as a child, as a promise, as peace breaking into chaos. In a world still shadowed by fear and uncertainty, we give thanks for the light that rises among us and leads us forward on the long journey of hope.

🌟 Save the Date: Advent Festival 2025
📅 Sunday, November 30
The season of waiting and wonder begins with our annual Advent Festival—an interactive morning of creativity, connection, and cookies.
We’ll craft together, hang the greens that fill our space with light, and begin this year’s Advent series The Will to Dream as we imagine hope taking root in our world once again.
Whether you join us in the room or online, bring your curiosity, your sweet tooth, and your willingness to dream. All ages are welcome—this is one of the most joy-filled mornings of our year.
Community Updates
What’s going on in Rancho Cucamonga and beyond…
As we move into December, our community at Sacred Place is preparing for a season of warmth, wonder, and togetherness. The holidays can stir a mix of emotions — joy and nostalgia, excitement and reflection — but through it all, we remain grounded in one truth: we belong to one another.
This year, we’re planning a few special gatherings to help us share that light with each other and our wider community:
✨ December 3 – Tree Trimming
Join us as we turn our gathering space into a space of beauty and welcome. Bring a favorite ornament, help decorate, or simply enjoy the company.
✨ December 10 – Stories and Christmas Crafts
A cozy evening of storytelling, reflection and maybe a creative project or two themed around the holiday season and building community — a night to breathe, to laugh, and to remember what this season is really about.
✨ December 17 – Cookie Bake & Share Night
Bring your favorite cookies or ingredients to bake together in the church kitchen! Everything we make will be shared and we want you to be creative!
We’d love your input and ideas! Are there other ways we can celebrate, give, or connect with our neighbors this season? Whether it’s a new outreach idea, a song suggestion, or simply an extra pair of hands to help, your participation matters.
This is the season when small acts of kindness can light up the darkest nights. Together, we can make those lights shine a little brighter.
With gratitude and anticipation,
Bryan
