It’s Been A Minute

Your Pastor is not very good at sending weekly emails.

First of all, I owe you an apology. I have been very inconsistent at making sure that our weekly emails go out. Good intentions don’t make things actually happen. I have moved the weekly email to my Mondays on my calendar so that the things preparing for Sunday don’t overrun it later in the week. But, just because we write it on Monday, we could send it a different day of the week.

So I want to run a quick poll of your preferences:

This should help me in making sure we communicate effectively with all of you!

We’ve got a fair bit going on over the next month, and summer is quickly on its way. The finishing touches on the renovations should be happening in the coming weeks, which is very exciting. I, for one, am ready to have that project behind us. I hope you have a fantastic week.

Grace and peace to you,
Pastor Matthew

This Sunday, April 28 is Mission Sunday!

It’s time for Spring Cleaning! Bryan and I are going to start pulling things out of the various nooks and crannies where we’ve stuffed them during the renovations. Now that spaces are more or less wrapped up and ready for use, we need to figure out what to keep and what to bid farewell to. It’s time to channel the mantra of Marie Kondo and let go of the things which no longer spark joy. There will be areas for trash, keep, donate, and sell. I think it could actually be fun. Some things might just need to be put in the cabinets that are now safely installed in the Family Room.

Pentecost is coming up quickly!

Our annual celebration of the blessing of God’s Spirit is on Sunday, May 19, 2024. It’ll be a normal Sunday with a celebratory theme. That means we move into Summer a bit early with our church calendar this year. More to come about that soon.

Be sure to wear something red or orange on Pentecost Sunday. Though Sacred Place was birthed on Pentecost Sunday in 2019, that was in early June, so we will wait to celebrate our 5th Anniversary until Sunday, June 9. (Exactly 5 years since our first gathering!)

Stream Earth Day Sunday

If you tried to watch an online replay yesterday, the links on Facebook and YouTube may not have worked for you. We can’t fix the Facebook link after the fact, but things are all good using this YouTube link. We had a good Earth Day Sunday gathering, check it out.
