Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving!
Happy Wednesday everyone. I hope you had a wonderful Canadian Thanksgiving, or Indigenous People's Day as we call it here in the US. I would much rather have Thanksgiving the same date as Canada, then I could put the Christmas Decorations up in mid-November! I led with the Thanksgiving line because there's an important announcement about our Thanksgiving Luncheon. It's been moved to November 24.
When looking at the calendar, I realized that November 17 is a bit early with Thanksgiving not being until November 28 this year. Since we're far enough out, we went ahead and moved to a more practical date. So re-mark your calendars for November 24.
This Sunday is Small Group Sunday! Bryan will lead a conversation on the next saga in our Biblical narrative journey. This past week, Hannah was blessed with the birth of Samuel. Now, he plays a key role in the story of King David. Which begins a very important thread into the Christmas story!
I will be away this weekend to celebrate the kiddo's birthday, so don't forget that Sunday, October 27 (that's in two Sundays!) is our Fall Festival. It will be fun for everyone, not just the kids. See you there!!
Until next time, peace to you!
