Catching Up In Community
Events of Interest
Last week we ended our Pride Month reflections rooted in the book of Jeremiah, and we find ourselves standing at a threshold — one hand holding the call to live fully, authentically, and gloriously as queer people of faith, and the other reaching forward and allowing our presence to be in itself an act of resistance. In this community, showing up is more than attendance; it’s a sacred act of defiance. Participation becomes protest. Connection becomes healing. And choosing to belong — in all our difference, in all our questions, in all our becoming — is itself an act of holy activism. Join us as we continue to gather, to imagine, and to resist together.

Riverside Interfaith Council
Our friends on the Riverside Interfaith Council shared an email this week about a Baha'i Interfaith Prayer meeting. It will be a diverse gathering with many different faith traditions represented-Christian and non-Christian. I you are interested in understanding how other faith traditions experience the movement of the Spirit, this might be an event worth attending.

Good Trouble Lives On!
A local Good Trouble Lives On rally will be held on Wednesday, July 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the intersection of Haven Avenue and Civic Center Drive in Rancho Cucamonga. Inspired by the legacy of Congressman John Lewis, this national day of nonviolent action calls attention to ongoing threats to civil rights—including voter suppression and the criminalization of protest—and urges lawmakers to protect our democratic freedoms. Participants will gather on all four corners and spread north along Haven toward Foothill Boulevard for visibility and safety. Information tables will be located at City Hall and the southeast corner of Civic Center and Haven, offering voter registration (San Bernardino County), sign-making supplies, and info about future events. First aid and sunscreen will be available at the City Hall table. Registration is encouraged (though not required) to receive updates—visit goodtroublelive.org to sign up. The event will start and end promptly; anyone staying afterward is asked to remain peaceful and safe.
