This Sunday, wear your red because it's Reformation Sunday (here's a nice bit of info from our friends in the UMC)! One of our 5 strands of heritage in the United Church of Christ is the reformed tradition, so our roots go back to Martin Luther and his Ninety-Five theses. We'll also celebrate our Fall Festival for the whole family. There will be a couple rounds of Bingo, some bean bag tossing, festive treats, and time together this Sunday at 11 AM.

Bryan and I were just reflecting yesterday morning how it's wild that November is just a week away. Like, wasn't it just August? We're only two months away from Christmas!!! 😬 The last quarter of the year is flying by. As such, we have a lot of things coming up.

Sunday, November 3 / All Saints’ Sunday & Hope Rising: The Widow / 11 AM
Sunday, November 10 / Small Group Sunday / 11 AM
Sunday, November 17 / Hope Rising: Isaiah /11 AM + Story Hour / 6 PM
Sunday, November 24 / Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon / 11 AM
Sunday, December 1 / Advent Festival + On The Horizon: Hope / 10:30 AM

It's shocking that in just 5 weeks, we'll be starting Advent with our Advent Festival. We'll hang the greens and have snacks and crafts.

That's my update for now. Bryan has more from our community partners.

Riverside Interfaith Council

Building cross-cultural relationships is important. Conversation with diverse people from different faith traditions can broaden our understanding of what it means to be a people of faith as well as give us opportunities to understand how we are all a part of God's family.

The Riverside Interfaith Council is dedicated to bringing together people of different faiths and exploring the question of how our traditions may be different, but at our core, we are all more alike than we realize.
